Beyond securing the region, we aim to uplift the lives of those we serve, ” he stated. Since their deployment in Papua, the Marines have consistently engaged in territorial outreach activities, fostering goodwill and trust with the locals.
During the event, residents of Dekai Village visited Bravo Post for a Social Communication (Komsos) session. This dialogue not only allowed the Marines to stay informed about the security situation but also deepened their bond with the community. The highlight of the day was the distribution of essential supplies, which brought smiles and a sense of relief to the villagers.
Community leader Mr. Simon Yahuli expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the residents. “The TNI's presence in our village has brought peace and comfort. They not only protect us but also care for our well-being. This support means so much to us, ” he said warmly.
Brigadier General TNI Lucky Avianto, Commander of HABEMA, lauded the Marines for their initiative, recognizing it as a testament to TNI’s dedication to fostering development and strengthening relations with the Papuan people. “This action underscores TNI's commitment to creating a harmonious and prosperous Papua. It’s a small step with a significant impact on community welfare, ” he remarked.
The distribution of supplies to Dekai residents exemplifies the TNI’s mission to be more than a security force—standing as partners and protectors of the people, ensuring no one is left behind in the journey toward progress.
