Harmony in Action: Bilogai Residents Join Forces with Habema Task Forces for Music Practice

Intan Jaya - The Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, operating under the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, is actively engaged in mobile security operations along the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea border in Intan Jaya Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the 509 Task Forces hosted a Social Communication (Komsos) event with the residents of Bilogai Village, Sugapa District, while fulfilling their area protection duties.

Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, the Commander of the 509 Task Forces, underscored the importance of focusing on the community's fundamental needs. During their security patrol, the Soldiers took the opportunity to connect with residents at the Tanah Putih Church, where they practiced music together in preparation for the upcoming Sunday Service.

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Soldiers engaged with the Bilogai residents, fostering a sense of unity and support. Local resident Leo Tabuni expressed gratitude, stating, "Thank you, Commander 509. We are happy to practice music together. God bless." This positive feedback highlights the impact of the Army's outreach efforts and reinforces community bonds.

After receiving the activity report, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, the HABEMA Commanding General, praised the 509 Task Forces’ initiative. He remarked, "The 509 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to inclusive social communication with all stakeholders, supporting the acceleration of development in the Papua region." This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA emphasizes the significant role such initiatives play in shaping a hopeful future for the community
